Insideout cleaning’s pricing model

Understanding how cleaning companies charge their clients can be confusing at times. There are many different ways to price cleaning services, and we have made it as easy as possible for our clients to get an accurate quote for their home. InsideOut bases their pricing on flat rates and hourly cleaning. The difference depends on what you want to have done in your home, how clean your home is and how much you are willing to spend. Below we will explain the differences between our flat rate pricing and our hourly pricing.

  1. FLAT RATE PRICING
When booking a clean with us online or by phone, we typically price our services based on a flat rate. This is because our flat rates include your entire home, and if a full house cleaning is what you are looking for, it is easier for us and you to provide a flat rate instead of trying to determine how many hours your clean should be.

We determine this flat rate by the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you have, approximate square footage as well as any extra services you want to add on. This will help us understand approximately how many hours your service will take as well as having transparent pricing with you so that no hidden fees need to be paid down the road.

If you are booking online and are wondering how long your clean will take, a good rule of thumb is to divide the final price of your clean by 45 (our hourly rate) and that will give you an approximate number of hours for your clean. For example, a 2 bed 3 bath home with no extra services is priced at $185. $185\45=4, which means that your clean will take around 4 hours to complete. However, with flat rate pricing, this amount of time could change depending on how dirty your home is as well as how in depth of a clean you need. That is why we offer flat rate pricing, as charging all of our customers an hourly rate is difficult to determine before arriving at your home. This way, it is ensured that your entire home will be cleaned for the price we initially quote you, instead of our cleaners having to stop after a certain number of hours. This does differ from our hourly services, which is explained below.

Another reason we offer flat rate pricing is because of our recurring service policy. If you are looking to have your home cleaned bi-weekly or monthly, and you want the exact same service each time we come in, it is easier for everyone involved if you know ahead of time how much you will be paying. If you choose to book a previous service, we don’t need to update you on pricing as the price will not change. In the case that you do want to add on a service that you had not done before, that is no problem, however we will need to know ahead of time as this will affect the final price of your clean.

  1. HOURLY PRICING
Our hourly services are recommended if you do not need your entire home cleaned. This works best for these types of cleans as you are then not paying for every room in your home when it doesn’t need to be done. Our hourly rate is $45\hour per cleaner. You may decide how many cleaners you want, but you must book a minimum of 2 hours for an hourly service. When booking an hourly service online, we ask that you include what you want to have cleaned in the notes section of the booking form. That way we know ahead of time what we will be cleaning for you. For extra services, you do not need to add these on to the hourly service. We will clean whatever you need done in the amount of time you have booked for.

Keep in mind that unlike flat rate services, the cleaners will only clean what they can get done with the number of hours scheduled. If they are not able to complete your entire list within the allotted time, they will have to either stop cleaning or confirm with you that adding on extra time is okay. We will never add on extra time without confirming with you first. If you are wondering how many hours to schedule for an hourly clean, give us a call and we will be happy to assist you with this.
